Twilight Big Bang Rules
Signing up means agreeing to all the rules.

The Twilight Big Bang Challenge is an event aimed at generating long fanfics about any characters in the Twilight Saga.

Now for the Rules.

Fics must involve the Twilight books in some way. As long as one of your main characters appears somewhere in the series (not just in interviews with S.Meyer), you're good to go.

If you're an author, your fanfiction must meet the following criteria.

  1. The fanfiction must be an original work that has not been posted anywhere else -- either in full or as a WIP.( Again, Fics that have been already posted - in whole or as a WIP - would not be eligible for the challenge. Also, Fics that you have already finished writing, or have written major chunks for, are also not eligible.)
  2. The fanfiction must be at least 16,000 words long. That's 16,000 words NOT INCLUDING the words in the header information, the summary, authors notes and so on.
  3. There is no maximum word count, but the fic must be complete. Fics that are missing the ending, the middle, the beginning and/or the plot, will be rejected regardless of how long they are.
  4. CROSS-OVERS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
  5. A summary of the fanfiction must be submitted to the moderator by (AUGUST 20, 2010) the latest.
  6. A complete, beta-d final of the fanfiction must be submitted to the moderators by (DECEMBER 15,2010)
  7. All fanfictions remain exclusive to the Twilight Big Bang Archive until a 15 days after its post it. This means that you cannot repost your submission to your own website, LJ, Skyehawke or any where else. UNTIL JANUARY 20,2011
If you're an artist, your fanart must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for inclusion:
  1. The fanart must be an original work that has not been posted anywhere else -- either in full or as a WIP.
  2. The fanart must contain Twilight characters.
  3. The fanart must have a rating.
  4. A draft of the fanart must be submitted to the moderator by (December 15,2010)
  5. All fanart remains exclusive to the Twilight Big Bang Archive until 15 days after its been posted. This means that you cannot repost your submission to your own website, LJ, Skyehawke or any where else until JANUARY 15,2011

What is considered underage? Edward will always be 17, etc. and so on?

Can you elaborate on #7? Is this a grammar/spelling issue or what? I've participated in other big bangs and I've never seen a rule and I'd like to know more about it.

Thanks.

Hi and Welcome, number seven just means that all fictions will be review before being posted.
With underage, it just means that you cant write child porn. The Characters will be whatever age that the writers desire, just no underage sex. I hope I answer your questions :D, if you have any more please dont hesitate to ask thats what Im here for.

Unfortunately, it didn't really clarify the rules for me.

What will you being reviewing it for? You said not stylistic choices, so spelling and grammar? Making sure rule #1 is followed, that the correct genre is listed?

Underage in what country, or in the USA what state? Are you working off of 18 years old is the age of consent? And if so, how should one work around adult-rated fic that stars Edward or Alice? If you're working from LJ's TOS, I believe the age of consent is 16.

Someone is helping to revise the rules, as soon as we finish, I will re-post them. Im still working on the site. It was just transfer to me yesterday afternoon. Its my goal to have at least 10 writers participating in the BigBang so it can kick off.

If you want to help with the rules, I could use it, since I kept the ones from before.

No offense, but the grays on the blood red are difficult to read and the red on red completely blows. Could you, maybe make adjustments to improve readability? Pretty please? Thanks!
